EVENT VOLUNTEER
Role: PACE Event Volunteer
Specific Duties: May include one or more of the following -
- Assist coordinators with event set up, organization of registration, and post event tear-down
- Ensure that correct registration procedures are followed
- Take tickets and business cards at the door as well as direct all participants to their assigned seats with efficiency and in a friendly and professional manner
- Other duties as assigned
- Skills Requirements:
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and high comfort level when interacting with business executives and government attendees
- Must be very organized and fluent in English with the ability to speak clearly and loudly when required
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiastic, energetic and professional
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Training / Support:
- An orientation will be provided by PACE members on the day of the event
Commitment Statement:
All volunteers are committed to the hours specified above – cancellation of your role must be
made 3 business days prior to the event date. If you are unable to fulfill your role after the 3
day mark, it is your responsibility to recruit a replacement who can commit to the Volunteer
Role Description. Your cancellation and replacement must be reported to the PACE office
ASAP and approved by PACE.
Dress Code: All volunteers must dress in business attire (Dress pants/skirt, dress shirt, tie, etc.)
Hours of Work: Most of the events are on weekends. Hours of work are mostly 5 hours on the day of
the event.
